Senior Engineer - Compressed Air Consultant

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer for Compressed Air Consultants, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth audits on both the supply and demand sides of compressed air systems within diverse manufacturing plants primarily in North America with some potential international work. You will apply your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to assess system performance, identify inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system supply and demand components, evaluating compressors, dryers, distribution systems, end uses, controls, maintenance procedures, and energy management practices.

  • Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and projected cost savings.

  • Review and update audit procedures and protocols to ensure they remain current with industry best practices.

  • Travel to client manufacturing plants primarily in North America to perform audits.

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs, provide advice and guidance, and support them in achieving their energy efficiency goals.

  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay abreast of new technologies and trends in compressed air systems.

  • Work in a hybrid model with a blend of remote work and on-site visits.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field. Advanced degree or certifications in energy management or related area preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compressed air system design, operation, maintenance, or auditing. This can include salespersons.

  • In-depth understanding of compressed air systems, including knowledge of various types of compressors, air treatment equipment, distribution systems, and end uses.

  • Familiarity with energy management principles and practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.

  • Willingness to travel

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
